Simões Lopes Neto Theater

The Central Stage of the Multipalco Eva Sopher, a cultural complex of the Theatro São Pedro in Porto Alegre.

In March 2025, the Simões Lopes Neto Theater was inaugurated, marking the completion of the Eva Sopher Multipalco in Porto Alegre. Integrated into the historic São Pedro Theater, the new space consolidates itself as part of one of the largest and most important cultural complexes in Latin America, the result of more than two decades of planning.

With 700 m² and capacity for 555 spectators, the theater adopts the traditional Italian format, inspired by European models from the 17th and 18th centuries. The configuration with a front stage, semi-circular audience, mezzanines and boxes favors visibility, acoustics and a solemn atmosphere, reaffirming the space’s vocation for performances of technical and artistic excellence.

Cavaletti was honored to have one of its products included in a project that values historical heritage, revives architectural traditions and encourages artistic production. The louro freijó finish highlights the combination of solidity and refinement in the model’s design. The Coletiva line offers a wide variety of coverings, allowing customizations that adapt to different styles and proposals for environments. This versatility contributes to the creation of unique spaces that dialogue with the cultural identity and aesthetics of the project. Our participation in this initiative reaffirms the brand’s commitment to design, functionality and support for actions that promote access to culture and social development.

Being present in a space that carries the legacy of Eva Sopher, a symbol of dedication and cultural vision in Brazil, has an even more special meaning for Cavaletti. With Italian family origins, our trajectory is marked by the appreciation of design and functional excellence, principles also present in the tradition of Italian theaters that inspired the project. Being part of this project is, at the same time, a tribute to our roots and a contribution to the strengthening of Brazilian culture.
